A Trip to Peru (Viaje a Peru)

Why Peru? A couple reasons. For Wes, it will be my first of what couple be many field excursions to Latin America to measure the environmental contribution underlying key important export products (say what? :-). For Laura, well she will keep Wes from getting into trouble, but more importantly, last Thanksgiving, when Dad, Mom and Robert were visiting us in Berlin, Dad asked her if she could take a trip to anywhere in the world, where would she go? Her answer was Peru! So less than a year later, here we go! It's great how these plans work out, huh?

Por qué a Peru? Para que Wes visitara una mina grande de oro para recoger datos para sus investigaciones de doctorado. Y Laura, pues, en el dia de gracias pasado, el padre de Wes a le pido, ¿a cual país quieras viajar, cuando tengas la opportunidad? Se lo respondió, ‘PERU!’. ¿Es bueno cómo las cosas se resuelven, no?
