Llegamos en Huaraz (arrived in Huaraz)
I'll make this a very short post - just to let you know we made it through 13 hrs of bus rides at one point (i was asleep but Laura made the mistake of looking out the window) ascending to 15,000 ft crossing the Cordillera Negra. We had a nice hike up to Llagunuco, a high mtn lagoon today, and have wonderful hosts in Karla Vargas's mother and family. But I have to get some sleep, because tomorrow earlier we are leaving for a private ice-climbing adventure. Yes literally climbing a wall of ice with crampons and ice axes - and yes it will be safe because we will have a certified guide and a top rope so we cant fall anywhere.
